I paired this with a RYZEN 2700X and I cannot be happier. The software is a bit limited, but it is user friendly! If you just want something that looks nice and is plug and play, this is the MOBO for you. If you want to do some heavy overclocking, there are better MOBOS out there.
However, I have encountered a few issues with the motherboard. Firstly, the instructions for installation were not very clear and I had to do a lot of research to properly install the motherboard. Secondly, the BIOS is not very user-friendly and I have had some difficulty navigating it. Lastly, I have had some stability issues with the board, it has crashed a few times, which required me to reboot the system.
Despite these issues, I still think the GIGABYTE X470 AORUS GAMING 5 WIFI is a solid motherboard and I would recommend it to others, but with the aforementioned considerations. 4 stars.
CPU:Ryzen 7 2700X
CPU Cooler: Kraken 62 280mm (Love this)
GPU: GTX Azuz White 1070 8GB
MOBO: X470 Aorus Gaming 5 WiFi
I bought this to upgrade from a micro ATX board and it has been the best thing ever. Plug in play for me. The Mobo was on BIOS F2 and I haven't updated it yet to the F3g that is out. But this board has worked right out the box for me with zero issue. WiFi worked automatically on Windows 10. The only thing that I had an issue with was of my own doing and Microsoft being dumb when switching hardware like this. My activation went away for Windows 10. I forgot you need to link your Windows activation to your Windows account before uninstalling your original motherboard. After you get your new one setup you can reactivate on the new hardware and then go back to a local account if you want. But again this wasn't the fault of the motherboard and more of an issue with how windows works. I really love this board super easy to install and WiFi is speeds are as advertised. If you don't get your full speed that you pay for odds are it's your router. I have 1GB fiber speeds and on our old router we got 1GB speeds hardwired always but WiFi was always around 300 to 500. After upgrading to a gaming router and having this MOBO we finally are able to get full 1GB speeds over WiFi if we want to. Bluetooth worked as well automatically zero issues. Was able to connect a newer PS4 controller over Bluetooth and play assassin's creed origins just like if I was on my PS4. Transfered a few videos and gif images from my phone and vice versa with really good speeds. Would 100% recommend this board and of course the gaming 7 is probably just as good if you don't mind the price of it.

Let me start with the positives: This board is gorgeous, works well with the latest Ryzen processors, and has pretty much most of the bells and whistles you could want in a motherboard. If you are building a rig using the latest Ryzen processors, you will love this board, until...
Negative: I am not an overclocker, but I buy higher end hardware simply to have a nice, reliable system to use for years, until my next upgrade. This board went together well, loaded up fine, and worked great, for about 60 days. At that point, it suddenly would not post to the bios. After messing with it for a while, I was able to determine that the main bios had become corrupted, and was able to boot by forcing the board on to the secondary bios (when it happens to YOU, simply hold down power and reset for about 10 seconds to make it work). Board booted up on the backup bios, and I thought I'm back in business, but NO! There is no way to copy the backup bios over to the main (this is after contacting Gigabyte), so that means that if I ever disconnect power from this system, for instance to move it or if my UPS ever dies, I have to go through the same process to turn it on (that wipes the settings in the backup bios, by the way, so that's great). I'm also not 100% confident the backup bios will continue to function, as I wasn't doing anything extreme on the main. Really, what is the POINT of a backup bios if you can't use it to fix the main bios if the main bios gets corrupted?
Gigabyte will RMA the board, using ground shipping, with a 5 day turnaround, which means my 2k system is going to be idle for 3 weeks while they get me another board. Amazon wouldn't touch it after having the system for 59 days, because it was outside of their return window.
I'm currently debating whether to RMA the board and just endure that awesome 3 week turnaround, or continue to use it off of the backup bios.
As it currently stands, I can't recommend this board. Visit forum.gigabyte.com to see other complaints on this product. Buy at your own peril!!!

If you're planning to update to a Ryzen 7 get the GIGABYTE X470 AORUS Gaming (7) WiF and not the (5)
Hardware is something else, dead CMOS battery upon receiving the product is never a good sign, a usb c port that does not work with AT ALL and when something does go wrong, like it just did for me, trying to get support results in being told that as a Canadian customer, the only option is to ship the product back to california, at your own expense *they recomend tracking* which would amount to almost $83CAD, wait on a turnaround of roughly 2-4 weeks and then they send it back through the slowest means possible (this ive read via comments on their forums from other Ontario based customers)
Just do yourself a favour and buy something else, MSI have always been good to me and im kicking myself that i didn't go with one of their boards for this build.
learn from my mistakes.
