pretty good for what it is. Compared with a Pentium 4 661 (3.6GHz) it is marginally slower in single threaded applications but nearly twice as fast in multi-threaded tasks (Dell Optiplex GX-620, 4GB RAM, Intel 945G Chipset, Ubuntu 16.04) With Nvidia GT-710v2, 2GB video card running the proprietary Nvidia linux driver (xxx.375) Google chrome can run 1080p video if hardware acceleration is used (and there is still headroom for running other things). Clearly this is not for gaming or any other CPU intensive tasks. For the money 5-star.
Works as expected. Nice to see my Old Dev-box Running A Little faster.. Always fun to turn on the old XP machine and play some old games and Development tools form the 90's early 2000's. ! nostalgic I guess. Still very entertaining to take a blast to the past on the original hardware.
Popped it in. Now I have a functioning PC. HP sucked in designing the Compaq as there was little heat dissapation on the CPU. But a Hat sink with a fan and temps are acceptable
