Overclocking.Overclocking is thinkering with motherboard, processor, videocard or memory settings to make your computer run faster than it was designed for. While it can cause instability, or even in extreme cases permanent hardware damage, it gains you free performance, and a bunch of fun. Some people buy a cheap, but well overclocking computer to tweak it and get decent performance for a low price. Others bench nearly for the fun of it. Overclocking is an art. While everyone can paint a house, only a few can paint like Picasso. To get tips on how to overclock and tweak your system, join our forums, or join one of the 400 communities which participate here.
