Can't get 99max to work on XP. DX6.1 is for Windows 98. Got me a copy of 98, but just noticed nVidia doesn't have any 98 drivers...

EDIT: Tried x86 and x64 XP. Copied the _Setup.dll to 99max folder. Not working

I have also this situation, 3D Mark is not working I change place this .dll file

In the .rar download file, you find a folder to install (3Dmark99max) and a .dll (ddraw.dll). First install, then copy ddraw.dll into installation folder.

Works fine here, tested on my laptop (thinkpad x40).

just tried 3D99 in Win7 compatability mode , it gives an error somthing simular too "3D Mark requires a DX6 compatable 3D accellorater" . Using 9800gt and applied the DDraw.dll fix.

3D2000 worked right away but didnt run test 15, still gave a score though!

I Just run the GT's and CPU test to got a result in both benchmarks (99 and 00).

The 3dmark00 result on FX5200 was horrible, guys with PIII and GF2 manage to get a similar score, look this:

hum, when I clic show details, I get an error, and when I clic ''Online resultbrowser'' too. Damn why can't we submite online scores ?

So I finally got 3Dmark99 to work in XP, but it's not working right.

3Dmark2000 is acting wierd in XP to. Scoring great in W7, but in XP the entire test runs in about 30 secs and gives me this score.

I guess this is what happens when you drop support for your old products. Don't think I'm going to play this one. Just to much trouble trying to get the benches to run properly.

For 3DMark99, make sure you have Vsync disabled in the drivers.

No idea why it's working so problematic on your system ... with the 655K / GTX480 setup here, it was just install 'n' play.

it doesn´t work with Vista on my Acer Notebook, I will test it on my Benchsystem with XP. Everyone knows a solution for the Problem with Vista/W7?

Run as admin mode or compatibility mode?

3DMark 99 Max also works under Vista , Copy dxgkrnl.sys from win/system32 to the directory of 3DM99 and run in compatibility mode (win98). Works without problems.

It doesn´t work so by me, it comes the Errorcode 0xc0000142. I dont find something, i look later.

with the 3DM99 fix i get the same error , but with the dxgkrnl.sys from Vista it runs!

Yes well an extra GPU helps 01, but it's not a real problem I suppose.

Tweaked my 01 some more and took the lead, if I only could get 2000 to work.

Guys i have a problem, tried yesterday to run these old benchmarks but... my set-up...

Rampage Extreme

E8500 under SS

Geforce 8800GTS (G92)

Cellshock 1800MHz D9GTR

I did a fresh windows install first, intalled drivers and push the CPU to 4.7GHz (VGA at defaults) to do some tests. Tried 3D Mark 99 Μax first, when i try to start the bench i get a blue screen (see link), http://www.hwbox.gr/attachments/intel-boards/4906d1288342809-classified-e762-phoenix-award-bios-settings-dscn1818.jpg , next

tried 3D Mark 2000 and 3D Mark 01 with the same results, then i revert everything to defaults but... blue screen again. Tried different version VGA drivers (169.21, 175.16 e.t.c.) but every time i try to run any of these old benches i get a blue screen no matter if the system it's clocked or not.

According to you blue screen pic, it's the driver. But as you tried other drivers, I don't know...

I'm surprised 99 and 00 don't scale much more with high-end cpu. Especially 2k!

2001, our most beloved benchmark, is the only one that scales so dramatically with C2D

Just get around 25% of the score i should have.

With 99 disable v-sync did it for me. Dunno, i am just missing something....

Just disable the V-Sync, and you will have the real score

Damn, i can't install the 3DMark99Max. :< It just... Does nothing. Changing the compability mode doesn't do anything.
